The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical QA/QC Advisor to join our client's team on a 12+ month contract. In this role you will be required to ensure Upstream projects are delivered safely, on schedule, in accordance with design documentation, and meet requirements of Company's specifications, Australian Standards and Legislation.

Core Accountabilities include but not limited to:

  • Advise teams, Sub-Contractors and Management on QA/QC matters
  • Generate and maintain strong/close working relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Review quality expectations / requirement of Engineering SOW (Scope of Works).
  • Monitor Contractor performance, including compliance with Company's QA requirements.
  • Review Contractor QA documentation (ITP, ITR, HAC etc.) for completion accuracy and design/technical compliance.
  • Monitor construction field activities, including conducting field audits.
  • Interface with HA Auditor and construction field team
  • Ensure BF management / superintendents / PM's are kept fully abreast of all key Quality risks and issues arising in the field (ideally with solutions).
  • Provide QA reports as required.
  • Ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all and adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Electrical Licence (current)
  • Certificate for "Installation and Maintenance of (EEHA) Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas" from an approved training institute.
  • Previous experience in oil and Gas, experience in Construction projects highly regarded
  • Hands-on experience of quality system auditing/surveillance
  • Extensive experience providing Electrical, Instrument and HA (Hazardous Area) technical and troubleshooting construction advice and expediting issues and design discrepancies.
  • Experience in the application of industry standards (international standards ISO 9001 and familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO18001)
  • Broad experience with Project Controls and Reporting systems.
  • Computer skills for MS office, Adobe and database software applications
  • Extensive experience liaising with numerous stakeholders to achieve successful project handover.
