The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Brisbane based HSE Consultant to join a leading Oil & Gas major. Due to increased work demands two HSE Practitioners are required to join this company on a contract basis - 5 Months.

This position will be an office based assignment located in Brisbane - CBD. The successful candidate will have extensive Oil & Gas experience and will have worked in an operational environment. It is critical that you possess an understanding of operations processes (production/maintenance) in the oil & gas industry or equivalent industries i.e. Petrochemicals.

Key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
Review contractor evaluation criteria
Contract Risk Assessment Review & Modification
Coach internal contract holders to enable them to implement business performance reviews and annual post-award contract management reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HSE Technical/Operational qualification (NEBOSH, Degree, Diploma)
Min 8-10 year's experience as HSE practitioner
In depth knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Ability to effectively lead and engage at Safety toolboxes meetings as well as with diverse audiences.
Experience in incident investigation and HSE Auditing
Ability to coach and influence
Understand key stakeholders and customers needs and proactively manages their needs
Identifies gaps in processes/systems and can identify practical solutions that can deliver sustained improvement.
Champion, embrace and adapt to change and help with overcoming resistance.
High degree of self-motivation & ability to achieve beyond stated objectives.
Demonstrated ability to set stretching HSE goals for themselves/team and align and gain commitment of colleagues towards delivery of goals and deliver measurable improvements and outcomes.
