The Role:
You will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of on-going relationships with the communities and landowners in Upstream areas in accordance with Land Access policies and procedures. You will be using your outstanding communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills to liaise and negotiate with a range of key internal and external stakeholders. Your project management and stakeholder management skills will be essential to facilitate timely access to land and fairly manage any issues that arise through operational activity.

Developing and Managing Landowner Relationships

  • Record all interactions with landholders and relevant parties.
  • Regularly consult with landowners to inform them of the company's objectives, requirements and implications.
  • Ensure stakeholder adherence to agreements surrounding any issues regarding construction and operational activities.

Negotiating Access to Land

  • Negotiate according to the company's compensation framework.
  • Facilitate access to land by keeping landowners informed of their rights and obligations, negotiating agreed compensation, and providing relevant documentation.
  • Seek advice from legal counsel when required.

Using the agreed tools, systems and guidelines to document and manage information and agreements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing landholder relationships.
  • Understanding of Land Access Code, P&G Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Experience in a role requiring professional relationship building with stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to OH&S procedures.
