The Role:
We are seeking an experienced GIS Advisor to join a global and leading oil and gas operator. In this role you will be responsible for providing support across the companies corporate Geospatial division.

Main accountabilities include but will not be limited to:

* To quality assure and load geospatial data into the companies corporate GIS database, using automated workflows.

* Provide geospatial quality assurance in line with Geomatics processes while loading geospatial datasets submitted by design and field survey teams into the corporate GIS database .

* Ensure geospatial data contained in project and company-wide data stores is high quality, accurate, current and attributed with proper metadata, published to the proper data stores and geodetically sound and other (subsurface) mapping systems.

* To contribute toward developing knowledge/information and data management systems to support future activities of spatial users.

* Promote new technologies, data and data delivery systems and services that would benefit customers and Geomatics.

* Raising the profile of Geomatics and awareness across the business.

* Identify, create, and improve workflows dealing with geospatial data exchanges with external software applications. To create scripts, tools, or models where appropriate to enhance the data flow and analysis.

* Ensuring HSSE compliance and taking personal accountability for the individual contributions towards the implementation of the team and corporate HSSE plans.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Information Science, Science, Geomatics (or equivalent) with minimum two years' oil or gas experience.
* Thorough knowledge of GIS and/or geospatial data management with working experience in ESRI's suite of GIS software & FME.
* Flexibility to effectively manage changing schedules, priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
