The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Lead to join a global oil and gas major. Within the companies upstream operations there are regular campaigns of work required to be implemented in a consolidated and controlled manner to ensure sustained operations, without drawing operations and maintenance personnel from the delivery of ongoing core activities. The Quality Lead is responsible for ongoing development and continuous improvements to ensure product & service quality in compliance with company requirements. The Quality Lead ensures vendor/contractor compliance with the applicable company quality and regulatory requirements. The role will require the management of planning & scheduling, reporting, technical analysis, integration and HSSE.

Accountabilities:
* Understand and apply the companies HSSE-SP control framework in all aspects of quality management. Ensure vendors & contractors meet HSSE requirements;
* Define and establish QA/QC programs with vendors and contractors;
* Ensure vendor/contractor compliance to contractual requirements;
* Quality control of equipment overhaul and changeout processes and flow of data, meeting with company maintenance requirements;
* Quality inspection and equipment release authorisation (example - hydraulic power unit overhauls);
* Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards and specifications;
* Review and approval of vendor documentation, reports and Manufacturer's Data Reports;
* Maintain complaint and non-conformance processing, root cause determination and ensure corrective actions are implemented;
* Participate in contractual kickoff meetings and operational expectations towards compliance of installations and commissioning of equipment;
* Travel to site, vendors and suppliers as required; and,
* Co-ordinate and manage third party inspection personnel as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Mechanical trade qualifications with a minimum of 10+ years oil and gas experience;
* Professional certification in Quality Inspection and Supervision;
* Proactive and visible HSE leadership, demonstrating commitment to safety through language, behaviour and actions;
* Strong computer skills in applications such as Word, Excel, document databases (eB and Maximo);
* Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools;
* Excellent problem solving, collaboration, communication, interpersonal, client-service, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills;
* Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice;
* Ability to react and adjust to changing conditions and priorities in a live operation; and,
* Experience in directly overseeing site and workshop-based teams.
