The Role:
Role Scope: Leads the safe, efficient and effective execution of maintenance work.

Key Tasks, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Receives job packs and short term schedule
* Ensures work is fully understood and executed within all safety, health and environmental rules/regulations.
* Assigns work to qualified technicians or work groups
* Own the execution of week 1 of the short term schedule and the optimization decisions within it
* Coordinates the safe and effective execution of schedule break-ins
* Communicate updates on the status of jobs.
* Conduct frequent job observations to support flawless maintenance performance.
*Responsible for primary issue/conflict resolution
* Lead the coordination of all aspects of the job
* Initiates the recycle of major changes and deviations from the plan
* Initiates follow-up activity as required
* Assist Maintenance Planner in job plan development as needed
* Assist Maintenance Scheduler with the review and endorsement of the short term schedule to resolve any field conflicts and ensure equipment availability
* Provide functional guidance to execution team members
* Monitor job progress and initiate the removal of barriers that impede the safe, efficient and effective execution of the work
* Ensures the required execution quality and initiates the handover of the equipment to the basic equipment owner
* Ensure technical history is captured as defined in the GRS work order closure document
* Initiate the review of execution performance for continuous improvement.
* Identify maintenance reliability improvement opportunities as found
* Responsible for GRS execution related measures

The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Expected years of experiences: Intermediate 5-15 years

* Maintenance and/or Project experience in a multi-discipline working environment.
* Field craft experience or equivalent
* Awareness of live plant work constraints
* Working knowledge of SAP or other interim computerized maintenance management systems
* Understanding of all the key processes that support maintenance execution including planning and scheduling.
