Our client is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer with a sound engineering background preferably with-in an electronics /electro mechanic area.

This role is a stand-alone role with site visits around the UK, (to work as part of the Service Engineer team in Europe)
Mainly working on repair, maintenance and calibration of large laboratory equipment/instruments (for the paper industry) with mechanical & pneumatic components, in 'clean room' environments
Investigate customer service needs and product needs through professional consulting.
Provides technical consulting and specialist assistance on Pulp&Paper solutions, manage customers' needs/products/solutions.
Plan and perform scheduled visits for calibration and maintenance of Products.
Perform emergency visits for repairs (mechanical and electronic).
Coordinates and performs start up, commissioning and customer training together with Commissioning engineers
Prepares all required technical documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.
Together with the Area Sales Manager and Account Managers identify opportunities for product sales.
Follow up on installed base of instruments to generate upgrade or replacement sales.

The role will be a mix of ad-hoc maintenance/on-site support for service agreements

(some client visits may-last a few days)
Full training on company products in the UK and additional training in Sweden given

The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Min 2 years field servicing type experience in a highly regulated industry
Willing to work away from home as needed at client sites
Highly focused on customers and their needs;
Ability to apply structured and methodical work style during increased pressure to act;
Intrinsic attitude to drive innovation and improvement;

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Paper & Pulp experience desirable but NOT essential
Previously worked in highly regulated background such a medical industry, aerospace etc
