The Role:
Implement Group-wide and approved BU performance improvement programs and practices to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment throughout the assigned global Business Unit/Product Group. Coach, support and provide advice to BU Management Team on HSE matters, ensure competent HSE HUB/LBU Advisors and report on the performances of the respective organization along the value chain. Development of HSE Network and ownership of HSE performance in global business unit.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the timely notification of HSE incidents, ownership of investigations, lessons learned, preventive and corrective actions and KPIs.
* Ensures the respective organization operates in alignment with HSE standards, policies and code of practice for safe working.
* Establishes, implements and maintains approved Business Unit specific risk programs
* Ensures delivery of training, audit and support for key risk programs are optimized through and delivered by the CoE.
* Collaborate with Country and Region COE's to fully implement HSE certification across operations of the Business Unit, in line with Group Directives
* Coaches, supports and provides advice to BU Management Team on HSE matters
* Develops and ensures competent HSE HUB/LBU HSE Managers and Specialists
* Reports on the performances of the respective organization along the value chain
* Maintains HSE Training standards and competence to a high level
* Contributes to effective risk management of HSE related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions to Business Unit/Product Group leadership team.
* Drives continuous improvement and behavioural change
* Ensure an exemplary H&S culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the organization.
* Facilitate effective two-way communication from Global Division - BU - HUB - LBU.
* Incident investigation using Tripod methodology
* Report and analyse all aspects of HSE performance.
* Contributes to, monitor progress and plans and executes HSE related projects.
* Ensures that each LBU has sufficient and competent HSE/SA resource and organized, staffed, skilled and directed, with a particular focus on competence and capacity. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect HSE Team within HR policies.

Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* OHS Management Degree with indicative professional qualification
* At least 10+ years' HSE/OHS experience working at a senior level in a global organization is a must
* 5years+ experience in HSE leadership position in Oil and gas industry.
* Demonstrated experience of leading and developing a team or teams of employees in a matrix organization
* Demonstrated strong skills and experience in health, safety and environmental management
* Strong and pro-active communicator
* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* Ability to travel as required (30-40%)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Proven track record of HSE continuous Improvement
