The Role:
Our Client is looking for a Project H3SE Manager to work on upcoming projects. The Project H3SE Manager is the main interface with the Client for all Health, Safety, Social, Security and Environmental matters associated to the Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecoms Systems scope. This role will be pivotal in the successful execution of the project and would require an experienced professional
The role will report to the Project Management team and is accountable to the Oil, Gas and Chemical Systems (UK) HSE Management. The role is responsible for the implementation of the H3SE Culture and behaviours in the Project. In addition, they will undertake the necessary interfaces on site with the Client and Sub-Vendors H3SE Representatives for Health, Safety, Social, Security and Environmental matters and is the focal point for H3SE activities during all Project phases but particularly on site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Generation of the EITS Contractor H3SE implementation Plan
- Generating the necessary documentation to meet the Project H3SE objectives and the requirements of the Client
- Driving the Project H3SE culture and behaviours through the EITS Project Organisation
- Collecting H3SE data for reporting to Client and EITS Project Management team
- Introducing best practices for H3SE into the Project
- Ensuring that all project personnel are conversant with their obligations relating to H3SE
- Monitoring compliance with the H3SE requirements and associated procedures
- Reviewing and updating the H3SE Plan in conjunction with the Project Management team
- Leading regular H3SE meetings with Project Management team
- Attending and instigating H3SE meetings with the Project teams
- Communicating H3SE matters (using numerous mediums), making recommendations and / or issue instructions which will be implemented in order that H3SE performance can be improved
- Ensure that the Project H3SE requirements are adopted by the EITS sub-vendors
- Identifying any immediate H3SE Training and if required assist with the development of the overall H3SE training programme
- Work directly with our In-country Partner to drive local work-force exposure to the project H3SE requirements
- Attending regular H3SE meetings with the Site Manager and others to advise and support for H3SE matters
- Attending and monitoring the toolbox meetings
- Assisting the Project organisation in assessment and elimination of risks
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- A formal internationally recognised qualification in Health and Safety
- Experience of working on large Oil and Gas Industry Projects
- Excellent communication skills through all levels of the project organisation
- Highly motivated and passionate about Project H3SE
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience of working on the African Continent
- A working knowledge of Electrical, Automation and Telecoms systems
