The Role:
Our client are looking for an experienced Lead HSE Auditor to join their small team in the UK. The role is ideally home based, and you will be spending over 60% of your time at sites across Europe.

As the Lead Auditor you will be contributing to improving performance in Safety and Sustainability (SaS) on project sites, manufacturing plants and service.

You will be required to perform technical and process-based audits in business lines and local operating units by applying in-depth specialist knowledge to drive excellence. Once the audit is completed you will also be required to offer practical, state of the art solutions and advice, and to ensure effective risk management through excellence in sustainability along the value chain.

Other responsibilities of the role include:
* Provide excellent services to operations for managing the annual SaS audit program and its associated protocols and execution.
* Supports managers to ensure that audit and assurance are compliant with SaS standards, regulations and guidelines
* Engages external (e.g. customers, suppliers, relevant authorities and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to leverage the SaS culture.
* Cooperates with other functions and business partners to drive sustainability performance
* Develops and reports on project objectives. Manages project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors
* Contributes to and/or plans and executes projects within area of responsibility leading to performance improvement.

Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Very high level of integrity
- Ability and willingness to travel regionally at least 60% of the time,
- Pragmatic action and result oriented
- State of the art expertise in audit technics
- Expertise in related SaS scope and Regional regulatory frameworks
- Industrial experience in both project/service and manufacturing activities
- Proven experience as a lead auditor
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated audit experience with behaviours and attitudes in line with ISO19011.
- A good understanding of ISO45001:2018 and ISO14001:2014
- Fluent in English language

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Lean manufacturing and operational excellence skills
- Knowledge in occupational and process safety
- Skilled in environmental management and security
- Knowledge in worldwide SaS standards (eg: UK, USA…)
- Fluent in one or more regional languages relevant to the business (e.g. French, Spanish, Portuguese, German….)
