The Role:
Reporting into the Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects within site operations. This will encompass Quality, HSE, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Logistics.

This is a crucial role that will contribute to the overall performance of the business unit, and will allow the business to continue in providing a first-class product and service to its customer and take the business to the very next level.

You will be directly responsible for all of the above, alongside continually driving improvements in operations across the site to ensure improved business performance.

This will be inclusive of:

* Developing pro-active strategies to increase business profits, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
* Lead and improve manufacturing technology and competence in line with global business strategy.
* Develop and drive projects to focus on improving both the quality of products, while considering the financial and cost optimisation of the department.
* Overseeing the management and improvement of assembly, machine shops, tooling rooms and production facility.
* Drive continuous improvements in productivity, output and cost optimisation.
* Ensure a safe working environment and continually look to develop and improve the Quality and HSE culture within the business.

Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will have a successful track-record of leading a manufacturing and operational unit within a precision engineering environment. The ability to make decisions, identify and drive improvements "like a dog with a bone" is essential.
