The Role:
As Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be tasked with leading a team of Sales Specialists in delivery of sales targets in-line with the demands of the business unit. Alongside defining and implementing the sales & marketing strategy for the UK market, you will also lead, develop and coach the team to achieve agreed revenue and growth targets both individually and as a team.

This will include the following:

* Manages and is responsible for the demand market for GBU including third party sales, internal sales and channels. Manages and is responsible for the Business Unit demand-side budget of the Country
* Responsible for creating, planning and implementing the sales, marketing (and communications) strategies for the UK in accordance with global marketing and sales strategy and budget.
* Produces and executes action plans to deliver on the strategy.
* Owns, manages and drives sales pipeline for the BU, leads capture teams where necessary to ensure targets are met and long term profitable growth achieved
* Act a key and active member of the business leadership team and represents the sales and marketing function in that leadership team ensuring strategic alignment and tactical priorities with the Operating Unit and the regional Hub Business Unit.
* Directly manages a team of 4 specialist sales professionals, ensures that the specialist sales team is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
* Responsible for the product marketing, industry, segment marketing and strategic and tactical marketing plans to support execution of the UK marketing plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

* A strong commercial background within the power transmission market with a track-record of consistent sales delivery within automation and controls.
* Proven sales leadership experience, with the ability to drive, motivate and direct a specialist sales team to achieve targets.
* Experience building and growing high performing sales teams and diversifying into new market sectors.
* Although not essential, experience in power automation would be an advantage
