The Role:
As Sales Manager for Telecommunications, you will cover the UK & Ireland to focus on driving the sales of Mission Critical Communications networks to achieve revenue and growth targets across various industry sectors. The role itself will be a split between managing key accounts and maximising revenue opportunities, through to driving new business in emerging markets to fully exploit the potential of the UK market within communications technologies.

This is a key position where you will be responsible for maximising sales potential, creating and executing sales plans through to coordination with the business unit management team alongside generation of business from new and existing customers.

The key industries our client are seeking to utilise, fall within transmission, distribution, rail and transportation, so previous experience in these sectors would be an advantage. Within this role you will be tasked with the following:

* Create a strategic business plan to expand the customer base and ensure a strong presence in the market
* Implements the strategy to deliver the goals for the Communications business.
* Deliver Order Entry to fulfil the goals of the business and the personal targets for this role.
* Makes full use of company tools and initiatives to achieve business growth, as well as developing bespoke initiatives to achieve targets.
* Uses Salesforce to monitor KPI's against agreed targets. Maintains Salesforce data and to ensure accurate reporting and management of all opportunities.
* Build, manage and develop appropriate relationships at all levels with stakeholders across key and target accounts/opportunities.
* Promote the full scope of products and solutions delivered by the business unit and engage with colleagues in the extended Sales Teams to support this position.

This division of the business, specialises in power grid automation and control solutions for the power transmission and distribution markets across the UK & Ireland.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* HND/ Degree in Electrical Engineering/ equivalent technical knowledge
* Successful previous experience as a sales manager selling wired communications network solutions in the UK market
* Knowledge and experience of working in Electricity Grid, Transport and Authorities markets
* A good understanding of communications technologies, PDH, SDH, VoIP, EoS, CES, MPLS, IP and their applications and services
* Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels in an organisation

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Power Grid Automation experience
* Established network within the Mission Critical communications market
* Established network within Electrical Utilities
* Experience working with an international matrix organisation
