The Role:
Role Outline
Responsible for the 2nd line support for all Automation Solutions (PLC, HMI, Motion, Safety PLC and VSD) to serial OEM team and customers

Main Accountabilities
* Formulate partner and customer training to support the OEM team
* Support customers in the conversion of competitors products/software to the company
* Support in the migration of legacy products to a new solution
* Work with colleagues in the larger RMDR sales teams to support the Automation product range
* Identify cross BU opportunities and engage where appropriate
* Work with factories/product managers to develop new solutions and advise of any future requirements for hardware/software
* Provide technical and application support for PLC, HMI, motion, safety PLC and machinery drives
* Consider the wider product offering to develop OEM business for the company
* Support internal application engineers as required by the business
* Provide product specifications and assistance with solution architecture
* Provide internal and external training as required for both company personnel and external customers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
* Understanding and programming ability of automation systems (PLC/HMI/Motion, Safety PLC and VSD)
* Demonstrate excellent customer focus
* Self-motivated to work both in a team and as an individual
* Ability to prioritise workload

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Presentation skills to perform training sessions
* Business acumen
* Results orientation
