The Role:
Role Outline
Senior electronics engineer working in a multi discipline R&D team responsible for the design and development of industrial instrumentation, particularly in the field of flow measurement

Main Accountabilities
* Design develop and test electronics to meet required specifications and ensure compliance to internal and external standards
* Design and develop of embedded software including final validation.
* Support strategic technology direction through own work and by proposing innovative technology development, application and solutions. Maintain awareness of state-of-art technology and market trends affecting company products and services and recommend appropriate actions in response.
* Apply a variety of accepted technology concepts as well as having the resourcefulness to apply new methodologies and technologies to projects and problems. Implement creative ideas based on customer needs.
* Provide information to allow creation of target specifications and accurate project plans.
* Serve as a consultant to management regarding projects, initiatives and technical investigations, advise on their potential application and the resolution of complex problems. Proactively identify customer value, develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor and develop IP strategies within own area of expertise based on good understanding of IP strategies and competitors' patents in relevant domains. Actively works to identify and mitigate risks in research and development (R&D) projects and activities.

Position Interactions
* Working in multi-discipline R&D team
* Working with cross-functional teams (supply chain, manufacturing, production engineering, quality, product management)
* Work with global R&D teams & corporate research

The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Good degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
* Proven track record in analog and digital electronic hardware design, including front-end measurement and ultra low power design
* Experience with designing for EMC and safety standards
* Knowledge of embedded software development (C, C++)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Knowledge of flow measurement
* Experience with designing industrial instrumentation
