The Role:
Role Synopsis
This position will report to the Subsea Delivery Team Planner.
This role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and operation of a comprehensive schedule control system for the Subsea delivery team.
The role includes the supervision and performance management of SPS contractor and EPCI contractor and the integration of schedules from contractors, from owners teams and from third-party sources into the overall planning process for Subsea delivery team and the wider project project.
Key accountabilities
* Implement planning, scheduling and performance management techniques, processes and tools, including Primavera and others as appropriate; adhere to the guidance provided in the Project Services Guideline.
* Liaise closely with SPS and EPCI contractor planning teams to ensure compatibility of schedules and verify that Engineering and Procurement schedules support timely delivery of drawings / documents, equipment and materials to meet installation and commissioning requirements.
* Understand the technical scope of the work and the right sequence and duration of activities to create a viable project plan to achieve the business objectives.
* Understand what resources are required for executing the set of activities and when activities can be performed given competing resource demands.
* Ensure the preparation and development of appropriate detail and summary plans/schedules; integrate SPS and EPCI contractor and generated plans/schedules into the Master Control Schedule.
* Provide analysis of SPS and EPCI contractors' schedules and progress performance management data.
* Contribute to modernizing and transforming the way contractor schedule and progress performance is reported via Digital Performance Management.
* Recognize opportunities and optimizations to most efficiently execute the planned set of activities.
* Ensure the preparation and development of interface schedules for Subsea and provide planning discipline input to regular schedule interface meeting with other delivery teams.
* Provide planning discipline support to the management of SIMOPs during the Phase 1 offshore installation program.
* Participate in Project Team(s) and Functional Team meetings and workshops as requested.
* Provide the input and pre-read to GPO central planning function in preparation for schedule reviews and risk analyses.
* Provide schedule input to plan change notices and implement schedule element of the project management of change procedure and risk management plan.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree educated preferably in an engineering, construction, or business related discipline
* Proficiency in the use of Primavera (P6 and Risk Analysis) planning software
* Project planning experience on large scale subsea installation projects including interface and SIMOPs planning.
* Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
* Ability to recognize and solve problems.
* Analytical ability combined with good interpersonal and communication skills.
