The Role:
Location: Located in Workington however delivery across all company centres (potentially 2 days per week at Carlisle)
Closing Date: Open

Main purpose of the job:

To carry out training & assessment, of Business administration, Customer services & delivery of Team Leading Level 2 and Management Level 3

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Ideally, applicants should hold a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ in Administration, to deliver technical certificates & assess NVQ's in the work place. Previous teaching experience is not essential as training will be provided, however candidates must be prepared to work towards attaining a teaching qualification.
2. Delivery of Management Level 3.
3. To train/assess up to and including level 3.
4. To carry out research and product development for new qualifications in line with customer demand.
5. To supervise or assist with supervision of students.
6. To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
7. To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
8. To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
9. To provide pastoral care and support to students.
10. To participate in the administration of the department's programmes of study and other activities as requested.
11. To contribute to departmental working groups or committees as requested.
12. To maintain own continuing professional development.
13. To actively follow and promote company policies, including Equal Opportunities.
14. To maintain an awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations.


The person appointed is likely to have the skills and experience listed below.

1. Knowledge

Essential: A strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to teaching programmes

2. Skills

Essential: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Proven record of ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines.


Desirable: Evidence of ability to teach technical certificates and to supervise students

3. Qualifications

Essential: Full clean driving licence and access to a car
Holds an Assessor Award
Diploma in Management or Administration
Desirable: Membership of a relevant professional organisation


4. Previous Experience

Essential: Assessment of student work.
Min 3 years management experience

Desirable: Curriculum design.
Pastoral care of students.
