The Role:
Our client is an OFSTED Grade 1 training provider based in West Cumbria. They provide a diverse range of employer-led training, including engineering apprenticeships, degree courses and postgraduate programmes. The company has established strong partnerships with academia including the Universities of Manchester, Central Lancashire and Cumbria.

Due to expanding training business, the company is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. The position would suit a highly-motivated individual with a keen interest in the development and delivery of innovative and effective training programmes with a strong vocational element.

Duties:
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, project supervision, and curriculum development in the field of mechanical engineering, including solid mechanics, engineering design methods, dynamics, thermo-fluid mechanics, energy and electro-mechanical principles. Teaching duties will extend to BEng Hons and postgraduate level.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of BEng Hons at Class 2.1 or above in a relevant engineering or science discipline.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline; CertEd or equivalent
* Experience in the application of mechanical engineering in an industrial, research or academic environment; knowledge of the civil nuclear industry.
