The Role:
Due to expanding higher education provision, a position of Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering has become available to support in meeting the local demand for Mechanical Engineers.

This position would ideally be suited to a high-calibre mechanical engineer who wishes to pass on their knowledge and pursue a career in teaching and education.
The successful candidate will be involved in teaching, project supervision, curriculum development, research and knowledge transfer on topics including Computer aided Design, engineering drawing, thermo-fluids and heat transfer, hydraulics and pneumatics.

An ability to teach engineering project management is desirable and teaching studies will extend to BEng(Hons) and postgraduate level.

Less experienced candidates will be considered with the expectation that the individual will undertake appropriate training and professional development, including working towards a recognised teaching qualification.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of BEng at Class 2.1 in a relevant engineering discipline
* Several years' experience in mechanical engineering in an industrial, research or academic environment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* PgCert Ed or equivalent.
* Teaching experience at degree or postgraduate level.
