The Role:
Our client is a highly-reputable designer and manufacturer of sports and racing cars. Due to rapid expansion and growth, we are now looking for an experienced and passionate Safety Systems CAD Engineer to contribute to developing the cars of the future.

Based on-site in picturesque East England, you will be directly involved with supporting with the development of vehicle and occupant safety systems for our vehicles. You must be able to demonstrate experience in vehicle safety design and development. You should also be able to confidently apply your Catia expertise to problem resolution activities, working in close cooperation with other engineering functions.

Duties:
* Design & development of Vehicle Safety & Occupant Restraint systems
* To have technical ownership of Vehicle Crash/Occupant Safety Performance component design
* Work with all Body Interior Chassis/Electrical/Powertrain Safety teams to ensure compatible performance between vehicle systems and components in terms of Safety and Crash.
* Provide input to Interior team to ensure part design achieves required safety system performance.
* Preparation of concept and detailed restraint system designs.

Skills/Experience Required:
* Demonstrable prior work experience with an automotive OEM
* Excellent Catia V5 design software skills
* Background experience and knowledge in the design of passenger and/or vehicle safety systems
