The Role:
My Client is looking for a Chassis Design Engineer with specific experience in structures.

To support the continuous improvement of the vehicle chassis systems i.e. suspension, steering, brakes, cooling and HVAC, bonded structures etc.

Design and deliver the design improvements in accordance with the acceptance criteria set by the executive engineer

* Produce 3D feasibility studies to support manufacturing and supplier reviews
* Support package reviews as required
* Develop fixing and mounting strategies for all parts
* Conduct assembly checks to confirm suitability for production
* Produce fully defined 3D models
* Support supplier feasibility reviews
* Continually update 3D models to develop, refine and improve manufacturability
* Conduct initial tolerance studies
* Prepare 3D CAD and 2D drawings for release
* Produce fully defined 2D drawings to support prototype and production release
* Produce final 3D CAD data to support production release and supplier data requirements

* Issue Resolution
* Cost down opportunities
* DRF closure
* Obsolescence work

The Company:
specialises in the design, development and manufacture of iconic sports and race cars

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Excellent CAD skills using CATIA V5 R19
- Must be able to develop ideas into 3D CAD geometry
- Significant Chassis Engineering (ideally in an OEM or Tier 1 supplier) experience
- Detailed knowledge of chassis systems
- DFMEA, DVP, Materials understanding
