The Role:
My Client is looking for a Design Engineer required to support current engineering activities in carrying out CAD Design & Release Engineering duties for product including:

* Concept feasibility studies
* Interior system/component design & engineering - Carpets, Trim Panels, Instrument panels & Console systems
* Creation of 3D models & 2D drawings
* Release of component and assemblies using MPPDM system
* Drawing Check and associated operations
* Prototype and production build support

Support Current Engineering

* Issue Resolution
* Cost down opportunities
* DRF closure
* Obsolescence work

The Company:
specialises in the design, development and manufacture of iconic sports and race cars

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Excellent CAD skills using CATIA V5
- Must be able to develop ideas into 3D CAD geometry
- Significant Interior trim Engineering (ideally in an OEM or Tier 1 supplier) experience
- Interior system/component design & engineering experience (Carpets, Trim Panels, Instrument panels & Console systems)
- DFMEA, DVP, Materials understanding
