The Role:

Profile:

We are seeking an engineer that has good general automotive knowledge i.e. what parts make up a modern vehicle. Ideally the successful candidate will have knowledge of vehicle testing, test sites and facilities, a good understanding of typical automotive test procedures and test methods, typical test programme timing i.e. NPDS New Product Development System or similar OEM process. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have knowledge of FMEA and the DVP process, strong programme planning skills as well as strong excel skills i.e. macro's etc to automate the status and reporting of DVP.

Responsibilities:

- The Engineer will support vehicle test and development planning and DVP activities as required to deliver projects
- Generate and maintain project test and development plans
- Support the status and delivery of project DVP's
- Good knowledge of automotive engineering, development and testing process, and will have experience of the timing and planning of automotive vehicle programmes.
- Knowledge of DVP's and the DVP process
- Previous project management experience, and ideally experience of typical automotive test facility providers
- A methodical and organised approach.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- A High level PC skills, especially Excel and MS Project.
- Some automotive vehicle development experience gained from vehicle programme development projects.
- Some travel may be required typically UK, Europe
