The Role:
Our client is a highly-reputable designer and manufacturer of sports and racing cars. Due to rapid expansion and growth, we are now looking for an experienced and passionate Lead CAE Engineer to support with the development of the cars of the future.

Based on-site in picturesque East England, you will be directly responsible for leading CAE Analysis across all areas of occupant protection and vehicle safety: this could include stress and durability analysis related to body structures, chassis safety, interior passenger protection systems and many other areas. You must be able to demonstrate strong background experience in a range of CAE areas, and have an excellent knowledge of FEA/durability analysis software. You should also be able to confidently apply your CAE expertise to problem resolution activities, working in close cooperation with other engineering functions.

Skills/Experience Required:
1) Excellent knowledge of automotive component/systems performance development using CAE codes and associated pre/post-processing software (LS-Dyna highly desirable)
2) Experience running baseline CAE analysis and summarising results
3) Able to interpret safety component/system requirements, understand design solutions/constraints and define/assess proposals to meet requirements based on sound engineering principles
4) A clear communicator with leadership qualities, able to effectively supervise junior CAE Engineers and direct CAE activities across a range of areas
