The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager to join Our Client overseeing their Powertrain & Electrical Workshops. Based in Norfolk, the purpose of the role is to provide a service as required to the Project team, Client or Department Managers. The Manager will oversee and ensure optimum performance within the test cells, build shops, electrical workshop and emissions lab.

Main Duties:

*Responsible for the Powertrain/Electrical workshops and test cell facilities departments
*Participate in the overall planning and recruitment of staff
*Plan, allocate and record the work throughout their group of technicians in accordance with project demands and company plans
*Plan and organise the risk assessment program for their workshop areas
*Reorganise as required in response to any crisis that affects the group of technicians
*Manage the group of technicians taking responsibility for welfare and discipline issues including performance reviews

To take responsibility for communication between:

*Company and staff on both organisational and policy items
*Interdepartmental, both within the workshops and other areas of the company
*Instruct and train technicians in company systems or methods
*Arrange for the purchase of consumable materials and small tools necessary to perform tasks of the group
*Converse projects with Supervision and Project Engineers in determining tasks and objectives (including timing) and be able to organise project workload in conjunction with the Project engineers
*Analyse Problems and Results in basic format and give a general constructive deduction to the Project engineer/customer
*Produce and present written reports to satisfy project requirements
*Liaise with customers/suppliers either in personal situations or meetings thus representing the company as an ambassador
*Ensure departments adhere to the companies Health and Safety policy

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
BTEC educated and/or equivalent
*NEBSM and/or equivalent in Management
*Previous Powertrain test cell facilities experience
*Experience within Automotive test and development environment
*Good IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office
*Full Driving License
