The Role:
Material Requirements Planner
Norfolk
Permanent

Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
The purpose of this role is to create and communicate to suppliers:

Component requirements for all models produced Monitor & expedite those suppliers in accordance with production requirements whilst maintaining inventory levels.
Ensuring adequate information interchange & interaction with other supply chain & production areas and optimising logistics routes/costs.

Main duties of the role include:
*To update & maintain all relevant system requirements pertaining to the role and use those systems to create accurate supplier schedules
*To update and maintain all relevant system requirements pertaining to the role
*To ensure component requirements are correct and communicated to suppliers in a timely, professional manner
*To understand and implement any MRP generated 'messages' and amend supplier schedules
accordingly
*To ensure inventory levels of components under individual control are in alignment with departmental
objectives
*To ensure adequate information interchange and interaction with other Supply Chain and Production areas
*To ensure all activities undertaken are in line with current policies and procedures
*To ensure external logistics costs are optimised using normal transportation methods

The Company:
Our client is a highly-reputable designer and manufacturer of sports and racing cars. Due to rapid expansion and growth, we are now looking for an experienced Materials Controller to join their team in Norwich.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
*Diploma or equivalent, preferably with CIPS qualification.
*PC literate with current MS office suite
*Experience in Material Control in a manufacturing environment.
*Working knowledge of MRP systems
*Good communication, ability to work under pressure, resourceful and flexible
