The Company:
Working for a long-established and world famous manufacturer of luxury British sportscars, your role will be to provide PLM technical expertise for Engineering professionals and also to the corporate PLM team. This will be primarily Teamcentre support, although our client is very happy to speak to experienced PLM professionals who have worked with other relevant PLM systems such as Windchill or Enovia.

This position can be based either in Coventry area (with frequent visits to the main site) or at company HQ in Norwich area.

Salary: between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

The Role:
The PLM Technical Specialist will be the subject matter expert for all aspects of the PLM toolset. The person will also on occasions contribute to the wider engineering toolset, e.g. CAD, CAM, CAE, etc. The individual will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company by deploying the latest developments in the PLM toolset.

*Be the single point of contact for all technical aspects of PLM (Siemens TeamCenter).
*Responsible for the legacy Smarteam PDM system.
*Responsible the replacement of the Legacy PDM system for 3rd Party Engineering projects.
*Responsible for the on-site IT services for the corporate PLM system, such as Cache servers, PC Builds etc.
*Provide technical support to PLM team for the corporate PLM system.
*Provide 3rd line support to PLM users in conjunction with the corporate PLM team.
*Introduce new PLM solutions, as specified by the corporate PLM team.
*Develop PLM solutions with Stakeholders and work with corporate PLM team to implement.
*Build and maintain technical relations with the corporate PLM team.
*Keep abreast of developments in the CAD/CAM/CAE and PLM fields.

Specific Duties are:
*Technical Support.
*Provide 3rd line technical support to users to optimize their use of the PLM/CAD toolset.
*Troubleshoot user, software and hardware issues.
*CAD/PLM Development.
*Propose CAD/PLM Improvements.
*Introduce new PLM solutions, as specified by the corporate PLM team.
*Create User Acceptance Testing Plans.
*Strategic Relationships
*Build and maintain technical relations with the corporate PLM team.
*Build and maintain technical relations with IT team.
*Build relations with stakeholders.
*Build relations with 3rd party suppliers.

Essential criteria:
* First Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
* Advanced PLM Experience of an enterprise PLM system (Enovia/Teamcenter/Windchill)
* Good Numeracy.
* Good Problem Solving.
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize conflicting requirements.
* Held a technical role in an engineering business
* Personable and Approachable with good interpersonal skills.
* Good general standard in English, both oral and in writing.

Desirable
* Higher degree in CAD/CAM/CAE and or PLM.
* Desirable to have Chinese language skills.
* Knowledge of Linux/windows OS.
* Programming experience: C, C++, Java, TC ITK, TC SOA.
* Support of back-end PLM servers: Cache, Oracle Database, Jboss server, TC servers, TC Volume Server, etc.
* Knowledge of CATIA, NX, TC Visualization.
