The Role:
The Product Engineering - IT Business Analyst will Capture business requirements and liaise with business to successfully introduce improvements to processes and systems in use for product engineering domains.

Strong collaboration between the IT and the Engineering team, in order to ensure that the technology road-maps improve cost effectiveness, service quality and time to market for the business. Ability to define and shape the improved Business Applications landscape. Ensure that Lotus is relevant with technology, in order to achieve/maintain a leading engineering position within the automotive market.


Main Duties include:

Recommend potential solutions and capture requirements from the Engineering teams - to enable increased business value.

Analyse, interpret and document those business requirements - ensuring business alignment.

Work with the business teams in order to ensure detailed business processes are defined / mapped.

Work with IT and 3rd Party suppliers and the business to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Communicate the benefits/risks of the Product Engineering IT Road-map (including formal business case analysis/justification) to all levels of the business.

Define and document the business systems architecture map that supports the business processes, including existing technology and as appropriate outlining the requirements for any new technology (ie the relationships between existing and new architecture, including the integration needs)

The incumbent will own the functional and technical road-maps for all Engineering Technology

Specify and cost and new of revised technical solutions

Ensure effective PMO engagement for larger projects and act as Project Manager for small projects in the Engineering domain.Ensure effective business sponsorship.

Define and document new/changed roles impacted by the take-on of new IT services/solutions

Support the staff affected in making best use of the solutions, especially through UAT and post go lice support phases.


Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria)

Essential Criteria:
*Educated to degree level
*Knowledge of IT department support & development processes
*Knowledge of a product engineering systems environment.
*Flexibility in working hours to meet the business needs
*Team player
*Self starter
*Technical hands-on
*Independent thinker
*Proactive "doer"
*Proven interpersonal skills with an ability to operate at all levels of seniority
