The Role:
My client is seeking an experienced Automotive Project Manager to join their Project team based in Hethel, Norfolk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management of new products or medium/high value and/or risk engineering projects. Coordinating and integrating the activities and deliverables across multiple functional departments governed by LPDS process and/or third party PMO process, you will meet the project objectives and develop proposals to fulfil third party requests for quotations and develop future opportunities.

Main duties:
* Establish the development strategy and approach, resources strategy, cost management and amortisation strategy etc
* Develop project proposals for third party projects including presenting and as necessary to the client
* Plan and establish the project scheduling, action plan and tracking
* Establish Project budget plan and control
* Ensure the LPDS gateways/milestones or third party requested processes are followed and deliverable requirements are met or third party requested processes
* Establish and review the project organisation chart, scope of works and resources planning
* Establish and conduct risk assessment plan, tracking and control/mitigation
* Project status reporting to the management and follow up/follow through of the action plan during the development period
* Responsible for the management of 3 direct reports and up to 20 (project matrix)

Our Client is a prestigious manufacturer of sports and racing cars. The company designs and builds race and production automobiles of light weight and fine handling characteristics.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Whole vehicle OEM experience or significant experience from automotive tier1
* Engineering degree educated and/or equivalent
* Significant Project Management experience in an automotive engineering environment
* Strong leadership skills
* Analytical with a good attention to detail
* Knowledge of purchasing and financial control is desirable
