The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager to identify, co-ordinate and provide effective Safety, Health and Environmental advice across the business.

Role Responsibilities:

*Manage Occupational Health and other SHE department staff to ensure continuing professionalism, quality of advice and support

*Day to day management of the SHE department ensuring that it effectively meets the needs of the organisation, whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and encouraging best practice

*Develop safe systems, processes and procedures and ensuring records are kept to comply with current legislation

*Agree and monitor KPI's for SHE performance, developing strategies where appropriate for efficiency, cost reduction and recycling

*Provide an advisory resource to supervisory and managerial staff on all SHE matters

*Liaise with local authority and national government departments, including statutory reporting to ensure that the company meets its SHE commitments

*Provide advisory and support service to the SHE groups and committees formed to maintain and promote the health, safety and welfare of all staff

*Monitor and advise the company on impending and future changes in legislation which may have implications on the company activities or performance

*Develop and implement SHE training as required by areas of the company, in conjunction with Human Resources

*Audit and monitor the effectiveness of SHE Policy and Procedures and advice on updates or changes required

*Continually strive to develop and improve SHE as part of ongoing organisational development

*Report SHE performance internally; and externally to shareholder where appropriate

*Continue to professionally develop, network and take part in external meetings and activities such as other SHE groups to benchmark and promote SHE

*Ensure continued certification of OHSAS 18001, and successful implementation of ISO 14001

*Frequent travel will be required

The Company:
specialises in the design, development and manufacture of classic, sports and race cars

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
*Degree educated in an associated subject or NEBOSH NVQ/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
*Member of IEMA/IIRSM/IOSH
*Auditing Experience ISO14001 /OHSAS 18001
*Previous experience within SHE at a senior level
*Excellent communicator both written and verbally
*Full UK drivers licence

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
*Applicants with Manufacturing experience
