The Role:
The Client:
Our client is a highly-reputable designer and manufacturer of sports and racing cars, who are currently investing massively into R&D within their infotainment, connected car and ADAS department to bring new and innovative technologies into their upcoming models. This investment involves building a brand new Functional Safety team, with vacancies available at several levels including Senior Engineer, depending on your experience level and aspirations. With 3 concept cars in development, including the world's first 'all electric' Hypercar, this is a fantastic time to join this iconic brand and make your mark.

The Role:
As Functional Safety Engineer, you will be working cross-functionally to ensure the development of product aligns with company functional safety processes and requirements.
Working with system engineers, components engineers and external suppliers, you'll design ISO 26262 compliance systems, perform system hazards and risk analysis, defining safety goals and concepts along with technical, software and hardware safety requirements.
You'll work with Safety and Failure analysis, documenting analysis and recommending requirements and results off the back of this analysis.
With exceptional modelling expertise and experience within functional safety practices, concept and design under ISO26262, you will manage and lead functional safety projects at both concept and analysis level.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent understanding of the vehicle and its main functional components
- Strong experience in delivering functional safety projects
- Strong understanding of safety metrics (SPFM, LPF, PMHF), silicon devices, processors, micro-controllers and safety mechanisms.
- Excellent modelling (SysML/UML) and safety experience
- System and Software Safety development knowledge
- Experience using MatLab and safety analysis tools
- Hardware verification knowledge
