The Role:
The Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Manager will manage supplier quality and part quality activities to ensure day to day production targets are achieved and provide strategic supplier quality direction and guidance for new programmes ensuring we achieve quality, cost and timing targets.

This role will also lead the supplier quality related activities that will deliver visible and measurable improvement of the supplier base worldwide by implementing best practice automotive quality and supply chain strategies. This will involve close liaison with our parent company and other companies within the group.

Main duties:

Manage and lead the SQA team ensuring the correct resource is allocated and prioritised

Create activity plans and KPIs for the SQA team, setting objectives, reviewing performance and developing competence


Concern resolution and warranty relating to supplied parts

Produce regular reports including action plans for senior management

Manage, plan and carryout supplier assessments to support current production and new progammes

Develop and agree supplier development activity plan with internal stakeholders ensuring the team meets the plan and PPM / Quality improvements are achieved

New Part Introduction and Supplier Preparation, develop PPAP activity plan for new projects

Ensure all supplier visits are completed and manage the completion of actions raised

Report approval status at Lotus project reviews and gateways including key issues resolution plans

Current Production Support, interface between Lotus factory and SQA team to ensure issues are prioritised and addressed in a timely manner to minimise any effect on production and quality targets

Supplier sourcing, interface with Lotus Purchasing Management to ensure consistent sourcing direction and consensus

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to Degree level and/or equivalent within Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering
*Broad understanding of manufacturing processes related to automotive production
*Technically aware and capable of interpreting manufacturing processes
*Previous Automotive experience within a management role
*Effective leadership and communication skills
*Analytical with a strong attention to detail
*Chartered/fellow member The Chartered Quality Institute would be desirable
