The Role:
This role is specifically to support our Client's special projects and will be responsible for complete vehicle quality during the design, development and production phases, owning and driving all quality activities. The role will work closely alongside the Project team and interfacing directly with 3rd party client(s) to ensure the client's quality aspirations are met / exceeded.

*Creation and delivery of whole vehicle quality plan

*Creation and delivery of whole vehicle quality standards for premium niche product(s)

*Single point of contact for Quality for all internal and external parties involved in project

*Quality delegate for Project gateways, ensuring all deliverables are met in line with project timing

*Define and execute finished vehicle acceptance process from manufacturing handover to Sales

*Define vehicle quality & reliability targets and implement appropriate measures

*Work closely with suppliers to ensure individual components meet required standards

*Ensure build issues are being captured and resolved in line with project RASIC

*Quality input into customer aftersales experience (handover through to in service support)

*Ensure use of recognised Engineering Quality tools to ensure a robust and reliable design

*Failure Mode Avoidance activities (QHR, PFMEA / DFMEA etc)

*Report out project Quality status internally up to director level

*Make 'OK/NOK' Quality standard decisions considering the implications on the both the project and the customer.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HNC minimum in an automotive engineering discipline
*Must have experience of whole vehicle quality in a premium automotive environment
*Must be able to demonstrate application of engineering quality tools & techniques
*Experience of vehicle design and development processes
*Vehicle assessment skills (dynamic & static)
*Analytical, structured, confident, with good communication skills.
*Must be able to work alone and as part of a small team.
*Expected to interface with 3rd party clients to ensure our client's quality requirements are met
*Experience of OEM Product Delivery Processes
