The Role:
To develop external sales opportunities for external consultancy projects for Lotus Engineering within their designated sales area

*Develop sales activities across all core competence areas with Key Account rated Automotive OEMs.

*Writing and preparing sales materials, proposals and presentations

*Identify opportunities and potential customers and contacts within the Key Account companies

*Maintain accurate CRM records of client contacts and opportunities, in support of management information and reporting requirements

*Arranging, preparing and supporting client visits

*Supporting bid meetings with details and information relevant to the opportunity

*Confidently work with the Capture Manager to "own" a proposal and delivery of that to the client base

*Liaison with Legal and Finance departments to assist in resolving commercial and contractual issues

*Representing Lotus Engineering at motor-shows, conferences, "supplier days", exhibitions, trade fairs etc. as part of overall promotion of Lotus Engineering services.

*Develop and maintain a network of client relationships across the Key Account client companies including engineering, product planning, purchasing departments - expanding activities with the existing client contact base and developing new potential clients contacts to include three monthly reviews between Key Account senior management and Lotus Engineering management.

*Develop and maintain/update a strategic sales plan based on customer cycle plans and known projects and influence these so that Lotus Engineering is seen as a strategic partner

*Ensure client satisfaction - includes monitoring of strategically important programmes and remaining visible to the customer throughout the programme delivery cycle

*Marketing and Product development support

*Support the development of marketing activities and product strategies for all competence areas and in particular for the allocated Key Accounts

*Provide feedback to Lotus Engineering management on future technology needs / client strategy to enable the development of relevant future product & service offerings

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or associated management qualification
*Automotive engineering experience mandatory
*High level PC skills expected (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
*Automotive engineering experience mandatory
*Must be a confident communicator who can develop strong relationships with client contacts
*Full driving license and passport to support sales trips
