The Role:
We are looking for an experienced MWD Engineer to join a leading, global Oil & Gas company for an immediate start.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs engineering programs according to client's request.
  • Interprets MWD/LWD surveys and drilling mechanics.
  • Assists clients in solving operational and drilling problems.
  • Coordinates logistics for land jobs, as needed.
  • Reports daily to client and Field Service Manager on job progress and client service needs.
  • Maintains, loads, and sets up MWD/LWD tools at wellsite, and rigs up and rigs down logging units, surface sensors, and tools.
  • Ensures assigned junior personnel are trained on all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Checks and ensures quality of MWD/LWD data.
  • Develops logging plan and end of well reports.
  • Prepares MWD/LWD equipment (including logging unit.)
  • Attends pre-job meetings with clients to determine job objectives and post-job meetings to review job performance, as required.
  • Reviews and appraises the performance of subordinates, consistent with performance objectives, recommends changes in job classification to management, and determines the need for additional training, in a fair and consistent manner.


    Education:

    * Associate degree in Technology or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
    * Valid driver's license.
