The Role:
This role is to assist in delivery of the company's make good agreements through successful negotiation with bore owners and their legal representatives as well as overseeing the implementation of actions outlined within the make good agreements.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

-Assist in the update and preparation of the company's Make Good Strategy, work programs and costs based on the company's proposed field development and statutory requirements.
-Review of the outcome of bore assessment to develop negotiation strategy for individual Bore Owners.
-Preparation of Make Good Agreement key terms and delivery of key terms to the Bore Owner.
-Negotiate with the Bore Owner and/or their legal representative in accordance with the company values to reach agreement in a timely manner and achieve optimal outcomes. Including finding innovative solutions to bespoke challenges and applying commercial acumen.
-Prepare, review and mark-up individual Bore Owner Make Good Agreements in accordance with statutory requirements, company mandate and company's Make Good Strategy.
-Instruct company legal where required and keep company legal informed on progress.
-Document all written and verbal correspondence between the Bore Owner (and/or legal representative) and company as well as on-going documentation, review and update of key terms and contract standard and non-standard conditions.
-Escalate to the Groundwater Management Lead any issues, identify regulatory or operational risk.
-Ensure compliance with Make Good Agreements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Formal qualifications in law, environmental science, natural resource management or hydrogeology.
-Experience in negotiation and communication skills dealing with various stakeholders.
-Proficient in MS Office suite of programs and web based platforms e.g. sharepoint.
-Understanding of Make Good obligations in the Water Act (2000).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
-Ability to review and mark up of agreements, contract terms and conditions.
-Knowledge of the EP Act and Petroleum & Gas Act.
-Knowledge of groundwater use by landholders (bore and aquifers).


-Knowledge of quality control procedures and implementation.
-Knowledge of LEAN improvement methodologies.
