The Role:
The Civil Works/CAD Engineer will review the reinforcement drawings and 3D reinforcement models produced by the civil works designer for a number of different buildings. The reinforcement drawings and 3D models will be produced as part of a collaborative design process between the designers, the contractor and SOFINEL / EDF as client. The Civil Works / CAD Engineer will participate in the collaborative design process to ensure that the relevant design requirements, technical specifications, codes and standards are respected.

Main accountabilities:
* Adaptation and implementation of surveillance guides for reinforcement drawings and TEKLA 3D reinforcement models
* Surveillance of reinforcement drawings
* Surveillance of TEKLA 3D reinforcement models
* Analysis of the surveillance of reinforcement drawings and of TEKLA 3D reinforcement models
* In the event of any technical problems or deviations, the Civil Works/CAD Engineer will inform the Building Layout/Civil Leader, offer technical advice to all parties and propose corrections to the drawings and/or 3D models

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Civil engineering technician or higher education
* Civil engineering design office experience, with knowledge of reinforced concrete design and detailing
* Experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software or willingness to learn
* Team working - the design will be a collaborative process between all parties involved
* Knowledge and experience of using

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in the nuclear sector
* Experience in plant layout engineering
* Knowledge and experience of on-site construction
* Knowledge and experience using Navis Simulate and Navis Manage or similar software applications
* Experience of the production and implementation of surveillance guides
* Chartered Engineer
