The Role:
The Engineering and Safety Assessment Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Contracts Engineer and contractors for Diesel and Waste in all areas associated with engineering and nuclear safety.

Main activities:

 Work with the Contract Engineering Lead for Waste & Diesel to produce, control and manage a robust interface with the engineering sequence and other contractors/entities
 Ensure consistency between the contractor's engineering sequence, schedule and list of deliverables
 Ensure by different means (audit, time with the contractor) the robustness of the process and procedures which help our contractor to develop the project
 Conduct engineering assessments in order to demonstrate that the client's requirements have been integrated and are being managed
 Conduct engineering control at the contractor's office in order to ensure that the quality and safety aspects are well managed
 Produce reports on the assessments carried out at the contractor's office and record recommendations or carry out workshops to strengthened the relationship between contractor and client
 Liaise with the Nuclear Safety Mission in order to organize pre-job briefs and audits within the contractors office
 Ensure that processes and procedures for the management of contracts are well managed internally and develop standards to be applied
 Manage and maintain standards for contract management within the organisation
 Develop the risk assessment on the supply chain of contractors and ensure that the design requirements are correctly transmitted throughout the supply chain
 Promote the Integrated Team approach, by supporting the collaborative approach with the contractor and the client in a common office.
 Ensure and promote the capitalisation of Lessons Learnt and share good practice with the Contract Team

This assignment comprises a significant time at our contractors premises (2 days / every 2 weeks), mostly in Warrington (UK) and in Bristol. This might also require travel to Germany and France.

The Company:
Our client has a long history in supplying specialised components, systems and services to the civil nuclear industry. They have designed, engineered, manufactured and supplied custom equipment for both new build projects and operations reactors around the world for more than 40 years.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Mechanical/Process Engineer experienced on EPCC project, more specifically on management of Engineering phase. Experienced on Effluent Process Reactors / Nuclear Project is desirable.
Technical skills: Mechanical, process and engineering management and methods
Software and tools: Microsoft Word/Excel, 3D viewer
Language(s): English, French is advantageous
Personal capacity: Interpersonal skills, conscientious, organised, good written skills and the ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
