The Company:
Our client has a long history in supplying specialised components, systems and services to the civil nuclear industry. They have designed, engineered, manufactured and supplied custom equipment for both new build projects and operations reactors around the world for more than 40 years.

The Role:
The Nuclear Qualification Engineer is part of the core Technical Support Team in the Contract Management team. He/She is in charge of the technical coordination of all the Nuclear Qualification covered by Waste and Diesels Contracts. He/she will liaise with contractors and ensure that Nuclear Qualification technical requirements are well adressed and managed by contractors in a quality and timely manner.

The Nuclear Qualification Engineer is responsible for:

Technical coordination:
 Ensure that the different Nuclear Qualification requirements are identified and adressed purposefully and in due time by our contractors through their Nuclear Qualification strategy
 Ensure that the classification strategy is well defined and linked to Nuclear Qualification
 Ensure that the codes/standards are well understood by our contractors and that main requirements are well adressed
 Manage nuclear qualification workshop with Stakeholders and Contractors
 Main point of contact with contractors and all Nuclear Qualification topics for the team
 Main point of contact with the stakeholders which are in charge of the surveillance
 Responsible to build the program and schedule of the support expected from stakeholders
 Define the different stakeholders which are needed for the surveillance of these contracts and ensure the technical coordination
 Ensure the schedule coordination with the Nuclear Qualification sequence and identify when the contractors feedback are needed
 Responsible to set-up any intermediate steps which are considered as needed (Kick Off meeting / pre-job brief / Design gate review / post-job brief,etc.)
 Ensure the use of process and procedures to ensure delivery of Nuclear Qualification
 Oversee the contractors Nuclear Qualification staff that might be embedded in the RD team

Support to technical management of contract:
 Responsible to respond all Technical Clarification related to Nuclear Qualification
 Responsible to respond all Early Warnings related to Nuclear Qualification

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Mechanical/Electrical Engineer experienced in the nuclear industry.
Experience on Effluent Pressure Reactor project
