Field Environmental Coordinator - Drilling & Wells
General Description:
Field Environmental Coordinator position for Exploration with client. Management of all environmental compliance for drilling and wells, ice roads programs. Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in environmental, preferably on the slope. Intermediate level. Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support to the Exploration and Ice road teams. Preferred general working knowledge of specific regulatory agencies, CPAI systems, terminology, and internal procedures used in the department. Performs routine tasks. Able to solve problems, make decisions, identify risks, incorporate mitigation strategies, and communicate with HSE lead and other internal business partners.

Job Summary:
The Manager is seeking a Environmental Specialist II, position based out of Alpine on the North Slope, working a 2 on, 2 off schedule. Responsibilities include providing regulatory and technical assistance to clients to ensure adherence with current regulatory requirements. Must be capable of preparing regulatory compliance, reports, documentation, permit applications/modifications, inspections, agency engagement, and other associated field requirements, including significant drive times.

Job Duties & Requirements:
* Be familiar with CPAI, local, state, and federal spill reporting requirements.
* Be familiar with CPAI, local state tundra disturbance reporting requirements.
* Be familiar with CPAI, local state water withdraws exceedance reporting requirements.
* Be able to oversee KSOP subsistence representatives' activities and deal with their concerns.
* Represent CPAI and the Exploration Group to other CPAI groups, local/state/federal agencies, and NGO's.
* Be able to cooperatively interface with other CPAI FEC's, local/state/federal compliance employees,
* Track and comply with numerous permit stipulations and keep all appropriate CPAI employees apprised of compliance status.
* Provide training to contract personnel as needed.
* Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Science/ Environmental Studies).
* NSTC w/h2s.
* Valid Drivers License.
* Fit test required pre-employment.
* Be familiar with CPAI, state and federal waste regulations and management requirements
* Be able to oversee Summer Studies Program, including stick picking management with helicopters
* Previous North Slope experience is preferred
* Experience with construction projects (ice roads, pipeline, facility installation)
* Experience with permits issued from various state and federal agencies
* General environmental compliance activities (spill & tundra damage reporting, waste management, etc)
