The Role:

Responsible for performing or assisting in the areas of service and safety to passengers in-flight on the ground. Ensures passenger compliance with all safety requirements and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. While performing in-flight and ground duties works in confined spaces of aircraft aisles and galleys. Responsible for service to passengers and operating cabin equipment which may require standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, lifting moderately heavy objects from the floor to above shoulder level. Applies basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area. Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures, prescribed and completed with little autonomy. Typically requires up to 3 years of experience. Entry level. Requires basic knowledge of discipline. Uses established procedures to solve standard, straight-forward problems. Has the ability to perform routine assignments based on detailed instructions/past practices.

This position is required to provide backup on an as needed basis for other Flight Attendants on staff. Position duration will be for a 12-month period.

Schedule: Part time/On Call

Responsibilities may include:
* Providing leadership and aircraft cabin management during normal, abnormal and emergency situations while performing onboard flight attendant responsibilities
* Adhering to all procedures and rules of the Federal Aviation Regulations, Occupational Safety and Health
* Administration Regulations and ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. Aviation Manual of Policy, Procedures and Practice
* Developing and maintaining team communications with crew to ensure all operations are planned and performed with safety as the number one objective
* Completing reports as needed after any incident involving passengers, medevac's or emergency events
* Ensuring that all onboard emergency equipment is maintained in a response ready state
* Protecting any monies collected, while in personal possession
* Assisting ground support personnel, co-workers and supervisors, providing a harmonious team environment while ensuring safe, efficient, cost-effective transportation to and from the North Slope
* Ensuring the accuracy of all forms and required paperwork
* Responding to passenger complaints and problems graciously, resourcefully and tactfully
* Maintaining cleanliness of the aircraft cabin and ensures that fleet service and catering supplies are boarded as specified
* Accounting and handling of all controlled items

* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent
* 5+ years of experience working in a flight attendant role
* At least 21 years of age
* Willing and able to work all days of the week, including holidays and weekends to meet specific flight schedules per established work guidelines
* DOT/FAA requirements
* Willing and able to complete required initial Ground School training
* Ability to respond within ninety (90) minutes to Anchorage, AK Airport as needed
* Builds strong relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals

* Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
* Ability to read, write and articulate English to concisely complete all necessary paperwork and essential communications
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
* Ability to perform the duties of the position while exposed to harsh outside weather conditions including extreme cold and darkness
* Functional Capacity physical evaluation
* Ability to sit in an assigned jump seat with seat belt and shoulder harness fastened; perform tasks that require frequent walking, bending below ankle level and reaching above shoulder level; open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 45 pounds; push and pull beverage cart weighing up to 60 pounds; and lift, store, transport and reach for items
