The Role:
Responsible for: obtaining production readings (oil, water & gas), checking well operations (plunger lift, intermittent flow and rod pump), checking facility operations of two phase & three phase separation and initiating work requests.


*The MSO will work as a member of a team to manage all surface activities of an assigned production area.
*The MSO will monitor all fluid production in his assigned production area (Route) as well as fluids of other production areas (Routes) during their counterpart's days off, vacation or unplanned absences.
*The MSO will be directed to problem areas by the Production Specialist / Control Room Operator (CRO) and will work together to troubleshoot, correct and return to production deficiencies which will be identified on a daily basis.
*The MSO will report back to Production Specialist / CRO the resolution of identified problems as well as suggestions of unresolved problems.
*The MSO takes the lead in identifying surface related production impairments and optimization opportunities.
*Responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment and assisting the other operators and craft personnel in their duties.
*Prepares for and performs maintenance, taking readings, doing rounds, issuing work permits, following procedures, initiating work requests, writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups.
*Proactively monitors well and equipment performance, take appropriate action to maximize production. Works with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.).
*Interfaces with Engineering for data gathering requests. Track test compression data. Conducts fluid levels with echo meter.
*Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support. General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department. Performs routine tasks. Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.

Requirements
*High School Diploma/GED
*Typically requires 3-5 years of experience. Intermediate level.
*Knowledge of upstream gas production processes *Knowledgeable in well optimization practices *Knowledgeable of oilfield operations *Experience with MS Office
