The Role:
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the Instrument Engineer shall include the following:

* Reviews Contractor deliverables related to the Engineering and Procurement of the instruments and instrumented systems for packaged equipment
* Assists in providing instrumentation and control engineering technical leadership and expertise
* Assists in coordinating the package equipment suppliers I&C design with the MICC including:
* Ensures INtools requirements clearly defined with a format/structure that meets Operations, MICC and EPC needs
* Development of instrumentation logic and loop diagrams
* Coordinating the packaged equipment PLCs
* Review, evaluate, and advise EPC contractor with respect to:
o Instrument specifications, logic and loop diagrams
o Compliance with design methods and safety factors to be used in design of project
o Design correctness, compliance, and operability
o Operability of the unit or plant for start-up, normal, turndown, and shutdown modes. Reviews or sets design basis for abnormal operating conditions
o Ensuring that Suppliers comply with all standards, specifications and drawings specified in the Contract
* Ensures vendor packages meet the Project requirements for system integration and instrument functions
* Works with the E&R Group to ensures compliance with all FERC permits/requirements
* Participate in I&C technical specification preparation and Hazard and Operability Reviews (HAZOP)
* Participate in packaged equipment related FAT's (eg. Metering packages, etc.) as required
* Provide support to site construction and completions teams
* Provide support to operations during startup
* Provides input to the instrumentation and controls related lessons learned for the project

The Company:
An International Energy Company involved in a Major LNG Project with offices in USA and Japan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Broad and extensive knowledge of:
Design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
Company practices, processes, and expectations with respect to I&C engineering
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering
* 5+ years of closely related professional experience, 2+ years of which should be at the project engineering level
* Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
