The Role:
The LNG Lead Process Engineer shall facilitate effective execution of process discipline engineering and design routines that align with the Project's goals, objectives, and procedures. Responsible for all phases of process engineering.

MAIN FUNCTIONS
The LNG Lead Process Engineer shall facilitate effective execution of process discipline engineering and design routines that align with the Project's goals, objectives, and procedures. Responsible for all phases of process engineering. Ensures that the Project's requirements for all process engineering are carried out in a timely fashion.
* Provide design guidance and leadership in the following areas:
 Process design for gas conditioning, liquefaction, loading and marine facilities and utilities for the LNG plant.
 Design of the outside battery limits process facilities including drainage, drainage, firewater and other utility systems.
 Facilitate major process reviews for P&IDs, Cause and Effects and loss prevention.
* Provide leadership and mentoring for other process engineers on the project
* Communicate with the Project Team on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
* Provide support to Project Team to assure process engineering is coordinated with other discipline leads on the Project Team and the Sak-1 Gas design team.
* Assists in stewardship of the interfaces between the Project and the FEED / EPC contractor's organization with respect to process engineering to ensure quality and minimize change orders.
* Provide effective coordination and stewardship with process licensors required for the LNG process

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Facilitate and coordinate FEED and Detailed Design for process technical work products in the process, flow assurance, and loss prevention disciplines including the development of:
 Process simulations, optimization, and feasibility studies
 Heat and Material balances
 Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
* Provide equipment selection criteria and sizing of process and process control components
* Evaluate operability of the unit or plant for startup, normal, turndown, and shutdown modes
* Participate in process pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up planning activities
* Participate, facilitate and/or lead Risk Management activities (Concept Design Risk Assessment, Design Assessments, Hazardous Operations (HAZOP) reviews) to ensure correctness, compliance, and operability requirements are met
* Provide technical input and support to the procurement of process related items to include preparation of specifications, bid evaluations, bid tabulations, bid recommendations, etc.
* Collaborate with Project Team to provide design optimizations and reliability studies
* Support other engineering disciplines, construction, logistics and business team's work
* Drive and promote capital and energy efficiency in engineering design
* Effectively facilitate coordination and communication of issues amongst Company's and Contractor's engineering teams for resolution.
* Steward work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to ensure work is executed in accordance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements in the following:
 Ensure progress of engineering deliverables listed in scope of work are proceeding as per agreed engineering sequence and schedule
 Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations.
 Coordinate applicable input for monthly Engineering Surveillance Reporting.
* Provide deliverables for procurement of process related items including preparation of specifications, bid evaluations, bid tabulations, bid recommendations, etc.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline
* 20+ years of closely related professional experience, 10+ years of which should be on assignments involving LNG project design, execution, startup, and operations
* Broad and extensive knowledge of:
 Global Practices (GPs), industry codes and standards, and general design practices and requirements for all engineering groups
 Appropriate design safety criteria
 Experience and knowledge of practices, processes, and expectations with respect to engineering management
* Direct experience collaborating with process licensors for LNG and gas conditioning technology
* Broad understanding of Safety aspects in design (API 14C regulations, relief and blowdown, passive and active fire protection, etc.)
* Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
* Demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills: read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
* Willing to frequently travel to Europe and Russia
