The Role:
This opportunity is to join a long term Project reporting to the Project Quality Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the LNG Plant and Pipeline scope of works.
Based in Yokohama for approx. 2 years, the successful candidate will support the Project and liaise with liaise with contractors, vendors and Project Team members in tracking and working through resolution non-conformance's in support of project objectives.
This will involve assisting with improving and updating quality procedures, processes and plans whilst participating in audits, assessments, verification's and associated quality activities

Duties of the role will include (but not limited to)

- Utilize Quality Management expertise to support Quality Manager as directed
- Overall Project Quality metrics collection, analysis and reporting including roll up of sub-project / sites Quality scorecards
- Coordinate weekly Quality PT and, Quality Steering Team meeting execution
- Provide Quality input into project planning efforts
- Support surveillance activities as directed:
 Lead coordination and execution of Project Team's audit plan
 Support Quality assessments and verification's as needed
 Coordinate review and approval of Contractor Quality deliverable
 Provide general oversight of engineering, procurement and construction activities
- Assist with interfaces between Quality and other disciplines
- Lead assigned initiatives to improve / develop procedures, processes, templates and tools
- Support reporting and feedback on best practices and lessons learned from projects
- Coordinate Quality Management activities to ensure consistency, effectiveness across the Project
- Conduct Project-specific Quality training and facilitate project Quality workshops
- Participate in technical supplier evaluations and Cold Eyes Reviews
- Apply technical expertise and experience in areas such as certification, construction, engineering, inspection, and materials to assist project quality efforts as directed

The Company:
An International Energy Company involved in a Major LNG Project with offices in USA and Japan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science required
* 5 year's experience with contractors involved in production facilities projects preferred
* Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills at all Project Team levels
* Proven ability to collect, analyze and report metrics in a meaningful way to management
* Must be proficient in common PC software (MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
* Read, write and speak fluent English
