The Role:
LOCATION: Houston/Site

SUPERVISES: NA

MAIN FUNCTIONS:
The Position Title focuses on the LNG Export project, including the LNG Plant, Pipeline, and Compressors, including review of Contractor deliverables as well as oversight of project site safety team personnel. The role is characterized by:
* Provides leadership and direction to the Site Area Safety Advisors for both plant and pipeline construction activities.
* Takes direction from the LNG Safety, Health, Security Lead
* Ensures that project SSH plans and procedures are being implemented in accordance with project expectations and corrective action is taken to close gaps. This includes safety, security and health
plans and procedures.
* Liaise as necessary with the LNG Project Team, EPC Contractor, site based Safety professionals, Security professionals and Health professionals, LNG SSH, client SSH functions and other organizations and relevant authorities as required.
* Participate in SSH walk throughs.
* Provides assistance and cooperation concerning audits.
* Lead investigations of LNG incidents
* Incident classification record keeper.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of the Position Title shall include the following:
* Inspect and verify implementation of EPC's Work Management Program.
* Ensure all High Potential site activities have pre-job safety plans with risks/mitigations identified with input from SME's as appropriate and those plans have been reviewed with the workers involved in the activity.
* Ensures HiPo activities are inspected by knowledgable SSH professionals in accordance with project plans and procedures.
* Ensures Contractor incident investigations satisfactorily determine causes and appropriate preventive measures are identified and acted upon. Ensure proper recordkeeping.
* Lead Company incident investigations satisfactorily determine causes and appropriate preventive measures are identified and acted upon. Ensure proper recordkeeping in IMPACT.
* Report or review findings from incident investigations, facilities inspections, or security testing.
* Ensure assessment of risks to health, security and safety are timely and implementation of follow up measures are timely and complete.
* Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and incidents.
* Provision of suitable and current information and supervision concerning health, environmental, security and safety policies and practices.
* Provides Health, Safety, Security coaching and advice to employees and various SSH committees as needed and requested.
* Participates as member on the Safety Leadership Steering Committee.
* Leads Company field SSH meetings. Attends periodic SSH Meetings with contractors.
* Review design and recommend safety equipment.
* Identify the safety educational needs of others and verify Contractor training remains relevant to work activities as project execution progresses. Work with Contractor to develop formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
* Maintaining records and reporting of SSH metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Applicants must possess a University degree in Natural or Health Sciences, Biology, Engineering or some other technical field related to SSH
* Supervisory level position with broad technical and SSH skills and a working knowledge of
project management, construction and operations
* 10 years broad-based SSH experience preferred, with prior experience in one or more SSH related role
* Strong Leadership and mentoring skills, encourages teamwork
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; persuasive with strong business perspective
* Adaptable to changing priorities
* Experience with interacting with EPC Contractors
* Experience with interacting with a variety of external entities (e.g., government agencies, local communities)
* Knowledge of government regulations and client and industry SSH standards
* Good computer skills
