The Role:
Position Description

Position Title: SEQ Training Program Lead

Reports To: Regulatory Affairs & Technical Program Manager

Work Location: Houston (with limited GoM & AK travel)

General Description:
This position drives the success of the SEQ training program, including: developing program strategy, overall curriculum, identifying industry trends, reviewing training matrices, defining annual budget, ensuring training records are maintained and up-to-date, implementing training process/procedures, overseeing training coordinator(s), developing performance reports, support audit/review of the training functions, and coordinating internal and external training logistics.

Specific Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Participate in training-related decisions and training processes affecting field operations.
* Proactively engage with various departments to define annual field operations training plans and budgets.
* Provide periodic review of training matrices and implements procedures to standardize the training process.
* Develops a thorough knowledge of training specifications, especially those areas affecting HSE and field personnel competencies.
* Acts to enhance the look/functionality/usability of training software.
* Focal point for all training related MOC issues.
* Coordinates, schedules and proactively monitors internal and external field operations training courses for personnel in line with requirements set out in training matrices, competency assessments or via approved training request forms.
* Evaluates internal & external course feedback and propose program modifications.
* Processes and maintains course and personnel training files.
* Leads continuous improvement exercises that provide feedback to software developers for upgrades.
* Analyze Field Operations Training data to suggest areas in need of improvement
* Assign remediation field operations training/activities in accordance with plan.
* Proactively lead monthly performance reviews of SEQ Training program.
* Liase with HR training personnel to ensure alignment and compliance of training programs.
* Regularly prepare and review field operations training reports with management.
* Plan, develop and execute SEQ training program audits to provide suggestions and feedback to management

Minimum Job Requirements:
* Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office and related applications. Should be able to create tables, queries, reports and work within excel competently.
* High School diploma or GED equivalency
* Five (5) years of training program experience
* Three (3) years of supervisory / strategic experience of a training program.
* Demonstrated high level of communication with diverse groups
* Ability to work in a self-motivated environment while reporting to a remote manager
* Ability for 15% travel to Gulf of Mexico and Alaska assets
* Impeccable presentation skills to communicate up, down, and across the organization.

Preferred Candidate Skills
* Proven advanced knowledge of learning and development, organizational development, and training
* Experience with processes and systems within discipline area of training or learning and development
* Proven advanced up-to-date computer skills
* Proven advanced written and verbal communication skills
* Performance based training design, delivery, and assessment experience
* Project management experience
* Knowledge of computer-based training development tools and practices
* Process and procedure writing and redesign
* Process assessment experience
* Invoice review experience
* Training systems experience
* Experience supporting remote locations on systems and processes
* Database development and maintenance experience
* North Slope field experience
* Supervision or Management experience
* Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university
* Knowledge of OSHA & BSEE regulations (PSM/SEMS)
