The Role:
Purpose:
The Sr. HR Generalist - Mobility will administer all mobility related services provided by the HROS team to both the clients' US employees assigned overseas and all overseas employees assigned to the clients' US. This position is highly visible, involves significant interpersonal interaction and requires flexibility, a service-oriented focus, and the ability to multi-task.


Essential Responsibilities:
 Act as primary point of contact for all employee mobility matters
 Prepares assignment letters based on International Assignment Guidelines.
 Manages the approval process to ensure documents and process are followed - e.g. assignment letter, immigration forms, relocation/customs requirements, etc.
 Work closely with immigration attorneys on the VISA process for new expatriates.
 Coordinates and assists in obtaining U.S. documents for new expatriates: (ex. Social Security Card).
 Assists expatriates in setting up U.S. bank account, driver's licenses, accommodations, schooling, etc.
 Intercompany contact for payroll inquiries regarding expats.
 Maintain International Assignee personnel files including file preparation, and execution of all related expatriate documents, etc.
 Administer Expatriate employees travel, temporary living, long-term living and work arrangements. Initial contact for Expatriate employee relations.
 Liaise with tax preparation firm and expatriates on U.S. Income Tax Returns.
 Review and verify International Assignee expense report forms conform to policy and assignment letters.
 Regularly liaise with Benefits & Payroll Administrators, Finance and HQ HR on reconciliation of benefit and expatriate costs.
 Keeps current with Company policies, benefit plans, expatriate and third-party national special circumstances and changes in state and federal rules and regulations regarding expatriates.
 Audits Global Compensation Data for accuracy
 Reconciles all pay elements for Assignees to policy and assignee contract terms
 Special projects as requested.
Main Interfaces:
 Internal - HR colleagues, all overseas employees and all local employees assigned overseas
 External - Immigration Attorney, Tax Preparation Consultants, Relocation specialists
Required competencies:
 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Organizational development/behavior or equivalent years of experience
 10+ years of Human Resource generalist experience, with particular exposure to payroll, benefits and employee relations
 Comprehensive understanding of issues related to international mobility (taxation, gross vs net payroll, visas, etc.)
 Ability to make formal presentations on a variety of work-related topics on a regular basis required
 Knowledge of organizational development tools, both automated and manual, required.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Office applications
 Fluency in Italian a plus
