The Role:
Role:

-To work within the Projects department reporting to the Project Delivery Manager, the Programme Manager will have sole responsibility for managing multiple complex projects in conjunction with the nominated project team. The portfolio of projects assigned will often fall within the same programme of work for a single customer and may include projects from other business units.

-The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and/or experience working in the Oil, Gas water and electricity market sectors.

-Experience delivering SCADA and/or DCS systems would be a considerable advantage

Responsibilities:

* To manage, plan and oversee assigned Company Projects in conjunction with the nominated Project team, through inception to acceptance, both commercially and technically.
* The Programme Manager could be responsible for projects in category A, B C, L1, L2 or L3. Typically, the programme manager will be assigned category A or L3 projects exceeding £2,000,000 or where a portfolio of related projects exceeds £3,500,000
* To determine and manage the required resources for the Project or Programme.
* To manage the project or programme to schedule and budget to the satisfaction of the Customer and Company
* To act as the main contact with the client on technical, commercial and quality matters.
* Liaise with customers at Programme Management Level within their organisation.
* To co-ordinate the activities of Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, test, Product development, purchasing and Quality Assurance activities
* To negotiate and execute change orders with the customer in accordance with company policies and standards, obtaining the necessary approvals
* To oversee and where necessary assist in the translation of the Client Information into Engineering Specifications, equipment design, Logic diagrams, schematics etc.
* To assure the incorporation of reliable and otherwise sound design practices, including adequacy and accuracy of drawing information
* To recommend and advise the Engineering Manager on matters relating to Project Management Methodology and best practice and make recommendations on changes to procedures at a corporate level
* To liaise with, monitor and expedite sub-suppliers and sub-contractors for the project
* Ensure project administration is completed and project files are maintained
* To ensure that regular Commercial, Engineering and status reports are issued to the Project Delivery Manager and the Customer as required
* Support an environment conducive to successful team interaction
