The Role:
Working closely with the Reliability group within the Maintenance department, this role will look to develop a comprehensive list of threats and opportunities associated with the asset and develop a value-based approach for selecting opportunities for improvement.

The opportunities will scoped, defined and costed and, once agreed with the asset management team, this role will be responsible for coordinating any necessary resources and oversee the work to completion (Inc. project close-out).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Scrutinise plant performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Managing maintenance overhaul of major rotating equipment and mechanical equipment.
Ensure existing metrics on production losses and key equipment reliability are translated to a comprehensive value-based plan for improvement.
Ensure asset risk register is up to date with vulnerabilities of key equipment.
Prepare high-level CTR estimates for proposed improvement scopes and quantify high and low range of potential benefits, sufficient to justify resource allocation.
Initiate AFEs for proposed scopes, where required.
Define Scope of Requirements for projects with well-defined criteria for success
Coordinate all necessary resources working on each project to ensure all elements of the work are addressed.
Prepare regular improvement plan status summaries for presentation asset management team.
Ensure the transfer of work scopes form design to offshore execution are robustly planned and all requirements are communicated effectively.
Maintain regular presence offshore acting as the key link between the offshore asset teams and onshore engineering.

Ensure that all modifications are robustly assessed in accordance with the Management of Change process.
Ensure that all implemented projects are progressed through to completion in a timely manner.
Ensure maintenance routines are fully optimised to ensure equipment reliability
Facilitate the necessary hub support to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance programme, demonstrated by the achievement of prescribed KPIs (e.g. PSD KPIs, equipment reliability metrics etc.).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential:

· HNC in an engineering / technical discipline.

· Knowledge of the working principles of critical items of plant.

· Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate

Essential:

· Experience of equipment fault-finding and rectification.

· Previous operational supervisory experience in similar role

· Comprehensive knowledge of current legislation and best practices

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

· Experience of providing coaching and procedural auditing.

· Good organizational and administrative skills.

· Proactively shares best practices and knowledge.

· Computer literate.

· Effective communication skills.

· Proven ability to develop highly effective working relationships.

· Willingness to travel offshore.

· Ability to read an interpret engineering drawings.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred:

· Undergraduate degree (or higher) in an engineering / technical discipline.

Preferred:

· Experience of organisation and leading lifting and rigging teams

· Mechanical discipline background
